
Sponge Global Fellowship
The Sponge Global Fellowship is a hands-on teaching and leadership program for university students.
Fellows work in elementary language classrooms, developing practical skills in teaching, communication, and mentorship while receiving ongoing guidance from experienced educators.
Program Structure
The program is designed to support your growth in four key phases:
- Training: Learn core teaching techniques, classroom management, and professional expectations.
- Guided Teaching: Begin teaching with direct support and feedback from mentor teachers.
- Peer Mentorship: Observe and support newer Fellows through a structured buddy system, with training on how to give effective feedback.
- Reflection & Development: Track your progress, receive evaluations, and build professional skills over time.
Program Details
- Duration: 1 month up to 12 months
- Cohorts: Fall, Spring & Summer
- Commitment: 32 hours per week
- Location: Sponge Language School (Seattle & Bellevue)
- Format: Supervised, in-person experiential learning
- Tuition Fees: $1000/month. This excludes housing, travel and visa expenses, and personal living costs

- University Credit (Optional): The Fellowship is designed to align with university internship or practicum frameworks. We provide structured documentation, evaluations, and verified hours to support credit requests. Final credit decisions are made by your university.
